Very complex aromas of pears, persimmons, honey and cooked apples. Mineral undertones. Always subtle and multidimensional. Full-bodied with a tight and dense middle palate that gives a superb mouthfeel. It’s lively and flavorful at the end but in a reserved way. Just a hint of bitter lemon and lilac. Druiven: 70% Sauvignon Blanc, 30% Sémillon

De naam Domaine de Chevalier uit Pessac-Léognan komt voort uit “Chivaley” uit Gascogne. Het is schitteren gelegen in de naaldbossen van Léognan. Sinds 1983 in bezit van de familie Bernard. Wijngaarden werden aangekocht en een herbeplantingsprogramma van 8 jaar. Domaine de Chevalier kent 120 hectare waarvan 58 hectare is beplant voor rode wijn; 63% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot en 2% Cabernet Franc. 7 hectare voor wit kent 70% Sauvignon Blanc en 30% Semillion. De rode wijnen kenmerken zich door hun concentratie en zuiverheid, de witte door hun duurzame en complexe karakter. Tweede wijn; Esprit de Chevalier.
