The 2019 Clos l’Eglise has a beautiful bouquet of vivacious red berry fruit and suggestions of truffle and salted licorice, very focused and vibrant and gaining intensity with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with grippy, saturated tannins, a fine bead of acidity, and hints of licorice furnishing the finish. There is a sense of completeness that I adore. Druiven: 80% merlot, 20% cabernet franc

Clos L’Eglise is gelegen op de heuvels met befaamde buren als Château Clinet, Château L’Eglise Clinet en Château Troanoy. Het is één van de oudste château in Pomerol en hier wordt sinds de 18e eeuw wijn gemaakt. Tegenwoordig wordt het bestiert door Hélène Garcin die veel goeds heeft betekent en de kwaliteit en reputatie met grote stappen heeft doen verhogen. 5,9 hectare is bepland met 70% merlot en 30% cabernet franc. Het zijn prachtige weelderige en elegante wijnen die tijd nodig hebben om hun ware rijkdom te tonen. Organische wijnbouw
