Beschrijving

Fragrant and expressive on the nose with cassis, violets, cola, spiced blueberries and graphite. Massy and filling, the tannins have grip with both a fleshy texture and cool freshness which gives a push pull of ripe, opulent fruit, soft creaminess, and quite marked minerality in the coffee, liquorice and bitter dark chocolate spicing. Feels well constructed with precision but the power is still very much at the fore and this is focussed on strength and muscles rather than easy enjoyment right now.  Druiven:  52% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 8% Petit Verdot

Château Lilian Ladouys uit Saint-Estèphe is sinds 2020 een Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel. De geschiedenis van Château Lilian Ladouys voert terug tot 1654. Het heet dan nog La Doys dat zich in de loop van de tijd laat vervormen tot Ladouys. Veel later, als de familie Thieblot eigenaar is, wordt er Lilian aan toegevoegd als eerbetoon aan de Lilian Thieblot. Tegenwoordig is het wijndomein in handen van de familie Lorenzetti die tevens eigenaar is van Château Pédesclaux in Pauillac. Wijnstokken zijn gemiddeld 40 jaar oud en bestaan voor 62% uit merlot, 33% cabernet sauvignon, 3% cabernet franc en 2% petit verdot. Château Lilian Ladouys produceert rijke en verfijnde wijnen. Tweede wijn: La Devise de Lilian.
