Another successful vintage for Langoa, with dense cherry pit, graphite, smoked earth and bilberry fruits. Glass-staining ruby colour, a little atypical for the estate with its gourmet edge that gives supple tannins and a rich mid-palate, with concentrated fruit and spices all balanced by great tannic architecture. Château Langoa Barton, troisième Grand Cru Classé, uit Saint-Julien draagt de naam sinds de 1821 toen de familie Barton het Château kocht. Het is het enige Château uit de 1855 classificatie dat nog in handen is van dezelfde familie uit de tijd dat de classificatie ontstond. Het domein heeft 25 hectare bepland, waarvan 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Merlot en 9% Cabernet Franc. Langoa Barton wijnen vragen tijd om te ontwikkelen. De wijnen bevatten veel tannines en hebben veelal baat bij minimaal 10 jaar rijping. Tevens in eigendom Château Léoville Barton en Château Mauvesin Barton.
