Nicely textured from the start with tannins that are softly grainy giving a weight and frame to the red berry fruit with herbal edges. This has a both a sour and savoury tang which gives the wine character and energy. Nice high acidity with some bitter dark chocolate edges, subtle liquorice, creamy/chalky raspberries and some salty minerality. Lots going on here – still a little tense, this hasn’t softened and expanded fully but there’s excellent potential. Will be delicious. | Decanter | 2023 | 92

Château Lanessan uit Haut-Médoc is een vast waarde in ons assortiment. De wijnen van Château Lanessan bieden veel waar voor hun geld. Het zijn waardige en klassieke wijnen met een heel herkenbaar Bordeaux karakter. Château Lanessan ontstaat eind 18e eeuw en vandaag de dag is het de 8e generatie van de familie Bouteiller die er de scepter zwaait. Daarmee is het een van de weinige domeinen die nog in handen is van de oprichter. 80 hectare wijngaarden zijn aangeplant met 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, 4% Petit Verdot en 1% Cabernet Franc
