This is an estate that is in full evolution right now, with an impressive commitment to doing things differently – they are just uprooting a 1ha plot in front of the chateau, for example, to replant as agroforestry. Druiven: 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot

Château Haut-Bages Libéral, gelegen in Pauillac, is een Cinquième Grand Cru Classé. Het château dat eigendom is van de Taillan Group is biologisch en biodynamisch gecertificeerd. In de 30 hectare wijngaarden zijn Cabernet Sauvignon (75%) en Merlot (25%) aangeplant. Een groot gedeelte van de percelen liggen naast die van Château Latour (1.G.C.C.). De Grand Vin rijpt gedurende 14 tot 18 maanden gedeeltelijk in amfora’s en Frans eiken, waarvan 40% nieuw. Tweede wijn: La Chapelle de Bages en La Fleur de Haut-Bages Libéral.
