The 2025 Grand-Puy-Lacoste reveals a classic, refined bouquet of cassis, dark berries, cedar and lead pencil, with discreet floral nuances. Medium- to full-bodied, structured and precise, it’s built around a well-defined core of fruit framed by finely grained, youthful, filigreed tannins with a tensile profile. Less demonstrative than some of its peers in Pauillac, it privileges balance and typicity over sheer power, concluding with a long, elegant and mineral finish. Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste is een 5e grand cru classé uit Pauillac. in 1500 plantte de familie Guiraud de eerste wijnstokken. Sinds 1978 is Château-Grand-Puy-Lacoste in handen van de familie Borie. Gedurende de eerste jaren na de eeuwwisseling werd het hele domein gerenoveerd en de wijnmakerij en kelders geheel gemoderniseerd. In 2016 werd nogmaals een algehele renovatie doorgevoerd in hun opslagkelders. 55 hectare is bepland met 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot en 5% Cabernet Franc.
