The 2022 du Domaine de L’Eglise, 98% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Sauvignon, is deep garnet-purple in color. It skips out with bright, carefree notes of crushed red and black plums, black raspberries, and Morello cherries with suggestions of cracked black pepper and wilted roses plus a waft of star anise. The full-bodied palate is concentrated and seductive, with velvety tannins and impressive tension to frame the generous fruit, finishing with a lively lift. | Wine Independent | 2023 | 92-94+

Druiven: 98% Merlot, 2% Cabernet Franc

Château Du Domaine de L’Eglise behoort tot het grote Borie-Manoux (Castéja familie). Het domein is klein met slechts 7 hectare aan wijngaarden op een plateau van klei en kiezel: 95% Merlot en 5% Cabernet Franc.  Vlezige wijnen met precisie. Van dezelfde eigenaar: Château Trotte Vieille in Saint-Emilion, Château Lynch-Moussas  en Château Batailley uit Pauillac, Château Beau-Site uit Saint-Estèphe.
