The 2016 Deyrem Valentin has a ripe and generous bouquet that calms down in the glass, revealing attractive cranberry and blackcurrant fruit laced with pressed violets and iris. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, lovely pure-black fruit with just a hint of graphite. What I love about this Margaux (one of my favorites incidentally) is the disarming precision on the finish. Zowel het Château als de wijngaarden stammen uit 1730. Château Deyrem Valentin in Margaux is sinds 1928 in het bezit van de familie Sorge en Jorge Sorge is de huidige eigenaar. 13 hectare zijn aangeplant met 50% Merlot, 48% Cabernet Sauvignon, 1% Petit Verdot en 1% Carmenère. Tweede wijn Soussans. Aangename constante wijnen in herkenbare Margaux stijl.
