Ripe and concentrated on the nose, darkly perfumed with red cherries and blackcurrants at the fore. Smooth and satisfying on the palate, this has a lovely bright expression to the summery red berry fruits and a velvety-textured tannic grip that is edged with sweet liquorice and dark chocolate. Druiven: 90% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc

Château Bonalgue in Pomerol is sinds de jaren dertig van de vorige eeuw in handen van de familie Bourotte. De ondergrond van grind, zand en klei is een prima basis om de druiven goed te laten rijpen. Het resultaat zijn toegankelijke, fruitige, ronde en aromatische wijnen. Ruim 9 hectare zijn aangeplant met 90% Merlot en 10% Cabernet Franc. Tweede wijn: Beauséjour de Bonalgue
