Slightly less expressive on the nose than the Testamatta Bianco, this 100% Ansonica from old vines, is more subtle with pear, apricot, wild honey, white blossom and a delicate dusting of pepper and clove spice. Generous and charming, this settles quite quickly on the tongue, a dash of bitterness, soft acidity, sweet and ripe yellow fruit, warming toasted and herbal nuances and salty edges. It’s concentrated and detailed, but more brimming under the surface at this point, not yet ready to come out all guns blazing. Beautiful construction and a captivating display of flavours. I love the nuance and the rawness – tastes somewhat wild and a true expression of the grape and place with such a long-lasting finish. Druiven: 100% Ansonica

Het in 2000 opgerichte Toscaanse wijnhuis van de charismatische Bibi Graetz heeft de afgelopen twintig jaar een ware cultstatus bereikt. Het wijnhuis kent met zijn eigenzinnige wijnen én kunstzinnige etiketten vele liefhebbers. Daar hoort ook de internationale wijnpers bij, die inmiddels de topwijnen Colore en Testamatta jaarlijks zeer hoge punten toekent. De druiven komen van het eiland Isola del Giglio, gelegen voor de Toscaanse kust. De bodems zijn hier arm en bevatten veel graniet. De zeewind beïnvloedt het klimaat aanzienlijk. Voor de Colore Bianco worden enkel druiven gebruikt uit de zeer bijzondere Pietrabona-wijngaard. Deze wijngaard ligt in het zuidwestelijke deel van het eiland, richting de zee, op een hoogte van 200-500 meter. Deze wijngaard is in terrasvorm aangelegd. De wijnstokken zijn tot wel 100 jaar oud.
