You can taste the softness and richness of the warm vintage in the 2015 Barolo Margheria. The wine offers dark fruit flavors and lots of rich, plump fruit at the back. This is a softly textured wine that can also be consumed in the near or medium term. This single-vineyard Barolo from Serralunga d’Alba ages in botti grandi for 36 months. The vines are 60 years old, and the soils are rich with limestone clay. Some 6,200 bottles were made. | Robert Parker | 95

Druiven: 100% Nebbiolo

Azienda Agricola Azelia is een toonaangevende producent in het oostelijk gelegen gemeente Castiglione Falletto. Het wijnhuis bestaat inmiddels ruim 100 jaar en de vijfde generatie is inmiddels in het bedrijf gestapt. Men maakt er geconcentreerde wijnen met terroir-expressie en een lange inweking van wel tot 2 maanden. Wijnen die elegantie en kracht prachtig samenbrengen.
