Beschrijving

A dark, knitted nose. Red and black cherries, smooth and well textured with fine tannins that just give support. I like the blue fruit touch on the palate, this has a cool feel aided by bitter dark chocolate elements adding the nuance but all presented with gusto. This is serious and powerful for sure with persistence and long length. It’s like a greyhound straight out the gates, fast and decisive. Good balance and well built with power and concentration. A great effort and a real success for getting the most out the vintage. Tasted twice. | Decanter   | 2022 | 92

Druiven: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot

Het huidige Château Lynch-Moussas, cinquième grand cru classé in Pauillac, is een gedeelte van het enorme domein het ooit was. Vanwege de grootte werd het ooit opgesplitst in twee domeinen; Château Lynch-Moussas en Château Lynch Bages. Sinds 1919 zwaait de familie Casteja de scepter op Château Lynch-Moussas dat altijd nog bestaat uit zo’n 200 hectare, waarvan 60 aangeplant met wijnstokken; 70% Cabernet Sauvignon en 30% Merlot. Steeds beter wordende wijnen die baat hebben bij 7 tot 10 jaar flesrijping. Tweede wijn: Les Hautes de Lynch-Moussas.
