Muscular tannins here, a little less succulent than the 2018 vintage but with greater structure and control, along with St Julien finesse. This is flush with cassis and blueberry fruits, alongside liquorice root, black chocolate, dark pepper spice, a ton of bristling tannins and a fresh core. Château Langoa Barton, troisième Grand Cru Classé, uit Saint-Julien draagt de naam sinds de 1821 toen de familie Barton het Château kocht. Het is het enige Château uit de 1855 classificatie dat nog in handen is van dezelfde familie uit de tijd dat de classificatie ontstond. Het domein heeft 25 hectare bepland, waarvan 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Merlot en 9% Cabernet Franc. Langoa Barton wijnen vragen tijd om te ontwikkelen. De wijnen bevatten veel tannines en hebben veelal baat bij minimaal 10 jaar rijping.
