Powerful tannins, intense colour, with well textured damson and black cherry fruit, alonside the cocoa bean, espresso and spice of the vintage, tempered by savoury notes of cherry pit and mint. This is well executed, with carefully extracted muscular tannins. 40% new oak, 40% one year barrels, 2% amphora and 18% cement vats. Gérard Jicquel owner since 2019, the estate now has a new winery. Druiven: 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot

Prachtig gelegen wijndomein dat zijn oorsprong vond in 1843. Het ligt op het hooggelegen “Roof of Médoc” in Listrac. De laatste 50 jaar is er steeds gerenoveerd en geïnvesteerd en Château Fourcas Dupré heeft een sterke reputatie vanwege de gedegen en constante kwaliteit. Het heeft tegenwoordig 47 hectare wijngaarden.
