Rich purple colour medium to full intensity. Concentrated fruit on the attack also, this is clearly going to need longer to come around than Castéja’s other Pomerol wine La Croix du Casse, and should be given at least six to eight years before really seeing these tannins soften and the brambled fruit reach is full potential. Coffee bean and brownie flavours fill out the mid palate and overall this is a powerful, tightly controlled wine with great potential. | Decanter | 2020 | 93
Druiven: 97% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc
Château Du Domaine de L’Eglise behoort tot het grote Borie-Manoux (Castéja familie). Het domein is klein met slechts 7 hectare aan wijngaarden op een plateau van klei en kiezel: 95% Merlot en 5% Cabernet Franc. Vlezige wijnen met precisie. Van dezelfde eigenaar: Château Trotte Vieille in Saint-Emilion, Château Lynch-Moussas en Château Batailley uit Pauillac, Château Beau-Site uit Saint-Estèphe.
